This Will Help You Get Rid of Phlegm and Mucus from Your Throat and Chest

- Honey and Lemon
The antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties that honey has can help your irritated respiratory tract and you will feel instant relief. On the other hand, lemon is high in vitamin C and they boost the immune system and clear congestion.
What you need:
- 2 tbsp. of lemon juice
- of honey
How to make it:
Mix the lemon juice and honey, stir it and drink the mixture right away three times a day.
- Ginger
Ginger is really efficient to soothe chest and throat congestion since it acts as a natural decongestant, antihistamine and it has powerful antiviral, expectorant and antibacterial properties. Try drinking ginger tea, or chew 3-4 raw ginger slices daily.
What you need:
- 6, 7 pieces of ginger
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of black peppercorns
- 2 cups of water
How to make it:
You need to heat up the water until it starts to simmer and then add in the peppercorns and ginger. Leave everything to boil for a minute and lower down the heat. Let it simmer up to 7 minutes until you see the water turning yellow. Stir the mixture and add in 1 tablespoon of honey. Use this mixture 3 times daily and you will feel the congestion disappearing.
- Apple cider vinegar
Excess production of mucus can be stopped by apple cider vinegar which alkalizes the body and it maintains a normal Ph balance. All you need to do is get a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar, a glass of warm water, mix everything and drink it up to 3 times a day and gargle in order to soothe your sore throat.
- Turmeric
Curcumin, which is the active compound in turmeric has powerful medicinal properties and it helps destroy bacteria.
What you need:
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 glass of warm water
How to make it:
Mix the turmeric with warm water, add in a pinch of salt start to stir and use this mixture to gargle. You need to repeat this up to 4 times a day and you’ll feel how your mucus and phlegm disappear from your throat.
- Steaming
In order to remove mucus and phlegm, you need to start steaming which will provide you with instant relief.
What you need:
- ½ of rosemary mixed with 5 cups of boiling water
- Half a teaspoon of thyme
- Half a teaspoon of dried rosemary
How to make it:
Mix the thyme and rosemary in the water and inhale the steam. You can use a towel to cover your head, so the steam goes directly into your face. Try doing this 4 times a day.
